Inventory Reports provide tools for analyzing stock levels, tracking inventory movements, and planning for future demand. These reports complement the per-part inventory views available in the Part Editor by offering cross-part analysis and reporting capabilities.

Stock Levels

View current on-hand quantities across all parts and locations.

Movement History

Track inventory transactions over a specified time period.

Expected Changes

Project future inventory based on open orders and purchase orders.

Location Analysis

Compare stock distribution across multiple warehouse locations.

Stock Level Report

The Stock Level Report shows current on-hand quantities for all parts across all stocking locations.

Key Information

  • Part number and description
  • Current on-hand quantity by location
  • Unit of measure for each part
  • Total inventory value

Use Cases

  • Inventory Valuation: Determine total value of on-hand inventory
  • Low Stock Identification: Find parts that need reordering

Inventory Movement Report

The Movement Report tracks all inventory transactions within a specified date range, providing a comprehensive audit trail of stock changes.

Expected Changes Report

The Expected Changes Report projects future inventory based on open sales orders (demand) and open purchase orders (supply).

Key Information

  • Current On-Hand: Starting inventory quantity
  • Expected Receipts: Quantities from open purchase orders
  • Expected Shipments: Quantities committed to open sales orders
  • Projected Available: Net projected quantity after all expected changes
Action Required: Parts with a negative projected available quantity need immediate attention. Create purchase orders to replenish stock before customer orders are due.

Running a Report

  1. Navigate to the Reports section
  2. Select the desired inventory report type
  3. Set the date range if applicable
  4. Apply any filters (part group, location, part type)
  5. Click "Run" to generate the report
Tip: Run the Expected Changes report before the weekly purchasing review to identify parts that need to be reordered.
