Create a Vector Store

Enter a name and click Create to start a new, empty vector store.

Vector Stores Table

Each row shows a store's name, ID, status, file count, and size. The store currently used for the Backbone MRP user guide is marked In use.

• Click a store's name, or its Open button, to go to that store's own page where you can browse, upload, and remove its files.
• Click Select on any store row to make it the active store for the AI assistant. The current store shows ✓ Active instead.
• Click Delete on a store row to permanently delete that vector store.

A Vector Store's Page

Opening a store shows its details (status, file count, size) and a paged list of every file it contains. From here you can:

• Upload a file — it is added to your OpenAI account and attached to this store so the AI assistant can search it.
• Remove a file from the store.
• Page through the file list when the store holds many files.
