Internal Users
Internal users are employees or staff members within your company who access company data through the Backbone desktop app according to their permissions.

Active Users
The page header shows your current Active Users count against your Max Users license limit. If you need more user seats than your subscription allows, follow the Update user license count link to your subscription page.
