Edit Company Settings

Choose the Default Currency used for new orders and invoices and adjust other company settings. Click Save to apply your changes, or Cancel to discard them and return to Company Settings. The Company Name is shown here but cannot be edited directly — see below.

Changing Your Company Name

The Company Name field is read-only. Because a company must represent a genuine legal entity, a registered “doing business as” (DBA) name, or a division or unit of a parent entity, name changes go through a short manual review rather than a self-service edit.

To request a name change, use Submit Question or Issue in the Account section of your User Profile page, and include your current company name, the requested new name, and an explanation of the reason for the change. Our team will review the request and update the name for you.

Company Contact Info

Enter your company Phone, Fax, and Email. These are the contact details Backbone prints in the header of the order, shipment, and invoice documents you send, and new orders use them by default. Type the values and click Save.

Note: These are company-wide contact details. An order's ship-from location does not currently override them. Company mailing address is managed separately and is not edited here.

Default Sales Tax Rate

Set your company-wide Default Sales Tax Rate (%), entered as a percentage (for example, type 8.25 for 8.25%). This is the fallback rate applied to taxed customers who do not have their own rate. Leave it blank (or 0) if your company has no default tax rate.

Note: This rate only applies to customers marked as taxed, and non-taxable parts are always excluded. See Sales Tax for how the rate flows through customers, orders, and invoices.

Company Logo

Your company/portal logo is now managed on the Portal Branding page, alongside your portal colors, welcome message, and footer — so all of your branding lives in one place. Reach it from your company page: open the Customer Portal, then choose Customize Portal Branding.

There you can upload your logo (PNG, JPG, GIF, SVG, WebP, or BMP); it takes effect immediately and is used at the top of your portal and as the browser tab icon. See Branding your portal for the full set of options.
